Brunching Out

Have an event to attend but clueless as to what the right dress code is? The best and safest option to avoid becoming overdressed and (especially) underdressed is going smart casual. It gives you the opportunity to step out with your personal style. Adding a heel, a statement accessory, or a detailed clothing item are some quick ways to tweak your look and be able to give a completely different feel to it. Typically, smart casual would mean going for a pair of trousers and a pretty blazer, but the truth is that there is more room and leeway for creativity and personality than just the aforementioned uniform. You can be elegant, chic, modish — whichever suits your style or your mood on the day.

Today, we show you what we wore for the said dress code based on just how we felt like!

On a hot, sunny day as this we don't really want to pile up on the fabrics and layers. We don't even wish to go through what we might already consider the hassle of picking out what to wear with what. A shift or sheath dress would be perfect for these times. The prints on this one compensated for the simple form of the dress and has allowed a playful personality to be brought out. The print is also busy enough to get away without unnecessary accessories. A timeless piece such as a watch for an accessory can help put together the outfit.

When you're in the mood for just a simple dress, go with strappy, daring heels to bolden up the look. Feeling like going on a dinner cruise, or on a high-class rendezvous? A dress like this is perfect!

All white may seem dull for some, but adding a pop of color may turn everything upside down. A blazer is the ultimate BFF of any lazy and dull outfit. It is undoubtedly the go-to piece whenever you want to look casually or professionally suave. There are countless ways it can be worn. It is seasonless and definitely chic. And instead of wearing heels, pointed black flats is a perfect, classic shoe for any occasion where formal footwear is needed.
