Always loving how its sparkle instantly lifts the spirit, Isha Ivonne Ricaña found herself in the jewelry industry, successfully working with Indian Treasures in 2010. This opened up a whole new world, and later on paved the way for her to create her own brand, Polaris Treasure Trove.
Initially named Polaris Antique and Jewellery, the brand takes a new route and a new name this year. Named after the North Star that remains unmoving while the entire northern sky moves around it, Polaris Treasure Trove, founded in 2016, symbolizes Ricaña’s dream of establishing her own brand.
As it relaunches with new branding, Polaris Treasure Trove introduces its stunning collections which are made up of exquisite pieces. One of these collections showcases the beauty of the south sea pearls that are sourced in Palawan, and the craftsmanship of Filipino plateros who place them on gold. The brand also offers diamond jewelry, antique jewelry, and gemstones and crystals from India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Cambodia. Clients can even have designs of raw crystal jewelries customized according to their liking.
During the recent celebration of pearls and diamonds, Polaris Treasure Trove opened its doors to officially introduce its jewelry collections and welcome ID Diamonds — along with owner and CEO Pierre de Bosscher — being a partner and the certified distributor in the country. Ricaña also brings in ID Diamonds to Manila, the first diamond investment bar in the world. Originating in Belgium and having its headquarters in London, ID Diamonds offers a way for collectors and investors to preserve certified natural polished diamonds in an ultra-secure, safe and transparent manner, using its multi-patented ID-Knox technology. It allows diamonds to be traded around the globe in a consistent, profitable, and efficient way.
Polaris Treasure Trove’s first and only physical store can be found inside Styled Pop-Up, a pop-up store housing different fashion brands founded by Christine Bersola-Babao. As it moves forward to 2018, the brand aims to expand and open more stores in the country.
