Four Days and Three Nights in Taiwan

Four days and three nights in Taiwan. Four days and three nights of serenity. Four days and three nights of memories and experiences we'll forever keep.

Squeezed in a much needed trip with the best bunch! It's always good to have time for yourself. Take a day or a week off from work, the hustles and bustles you go through everyday. You're less likely to get crazy.

Getting your mind off things is a good thing, cause you'll be stronger and more motivated once you come back. But we all know, at this day and age, we cannot avoid the internet. We have to always have internet to connect with our loved ones, our friends, and maybe even sneak a peek at our work emails (which was so tempting to do). Thankfully, we've found our travel buddy, Big Sky Nation. Big Sky Nation is the #1 Travel Solutions Provider in the Philippines. They provide the best travel connectivity products to frequent travelers and once-a-year travelers even. Their products and services fit every budget and satisfy every need depending on your data connectivity needs.

When you hear Taiwan, you'll instantly think about street food and night markets. Am I right? But our trip was quite adventurous and more of exploring nature. I'll be sharing with you our itinerary so those of you who are planning on traveling to Taiwan can get some tips!

Our flight was at 4 in the morning, 2 hours above air, and finally arriving in Taipei, Taiwan around 6. And without sleep, we're headed straight to Sun Moon Lake. There are so many things you can do there like riding the bike, going on the ropeway, visiting temples, and shopping around. We checked in at an AirBnB in Alishan, which was our destination for the next day.

Sunrise at Alishan was so beautiful, and I'm glad I got to spend it with the best people. Getting up at dawn was worth it. While waiting for the sun to rise, we had hot milk. We also took a walk to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area.

On our way back to the city of Taipei, we stopped over Zhong She Flower Market to take some photos of the fields of vibrant flowers.

An obligatory visit to the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall.

Food stops: Shilin Night Market, Ximending Shopping District

We tried stinky tofu,
milk tea soft served ice cream,
dumplings and braised pork,
torched snail, lobster and scallops (not in photo),
peanut ice cream,
and a lot more of milk tea!

There were 8 of us in the group, and of course, we split into groups while shopping. By the time we had to go back, it wouldn't be easy without the internet. We were able to talk through Messenger and send our live locations. (Some of you may have seen stories on my friend's Instagram.) This wouldn't be possible without Big Sky Nation. Memorable last full day in Taiwan because we got to fly lanterns. Wrote our aspirations in life as individuals and our goals together. Saw the amazing sky full of lanterns.

Hope you got some tips on where to go on your next trip to Taiwan!

Much love,
Daphne
