The Blogapalooza Experience

Finally, we bring you our lowdown on last May 21st's Blogapalooza for 2016! Before anything, what is Blogapalooza? Anyone to hear of it the first time around would surely ask, but some who are well-acquainted and have long been part of the blogosphere may have only vague perceptions of what Blogapalooza really is and what it stands for. Well, for starters, it is the Philippines' biggest channel of business-to-blogger events, wherein businesses are able to network with bloggers and vice versa such that the former may utilize the rich content and media brought by the latter. They organize events that stimulate interaction and publicity for businesses and featurables for bloggers. To know more about Blogapalooza, visit their website here!

It is our pleasure to share with you what it's like and what what we got from attending a Blogapalooza event for the first time. Being newbies, of course, we felt a mix of emotions namely excited, nervous, curious, and you-name-it while we were lined up for registration. Yes, during those moments we've yet to fully grasp what the event is to be like. Yet as soon as we entered the venue, there was an instant feeling of a calling and calming! I'm sure some of you can relate with that meant-to-be moment, right? Make sure to read 'til the end to find out our greatest learning from Blogapalooza Horizons!

A Blogapalooza experience would not be one without visiting booths. Each one will usually have you register, join a game, receive a goodie or a prize, definitely carrying on conversations on each other's brand, exchanging (contact) information, so as to follow through with the essence of the event. Here are some memorable ones we dropped by!

First one we checked was the Skin Station booth, which instantly caught our hearts with their warm smiles and welcoming. Skin Station is a skin care company that combines nature and science to give you the best value in skin and body solutions! Everyone was so nice and accommodating, just at their booth you'd be able to see them embody their brand as a skin CARE company.

Gold Stack is a potato chips brand that completely blew our minds. These are not, we repeat, not your ordinary potato chips, which most offer flavors on the salty side. They really went out of the box with their popular honey butter flavor, which we are so happy they came up with because they are absolute bomb!

We joined the flatlay challenge at Cocio's booth too. If you do not know what Cocio is, you're missing out because it's the best chocolate drink ever! You wouldn't get enough of it!

At the Happy Fresh booth we got to meet their super adorable mascot Frida! Happy Fresh is a company that gives you access to go online grocery shopping from home, which we can't deny sounds like the most convenient thing!

During all the roaming around we would stop at what we're doing or sit on a chair and listen to the speakers, as they really do impart valuable information for bloggers and influencers, having had their own experiences in the field as well. The talks are definitely not something to miss out on, as they seem to drag you back to a certain mindset fitting for a blogger or influencer.

Blogapalooza also presents bloggers with the fun and great opportunity to meet with fellow blogger friends and to make new ones (see photo of us running into Kyna). Besides that, you can also bring friends to accompany you with all the networking and the fun, which we brought along Mikee. Also, we bet you didn't guess that our matchy outfits are absolutely coincidental, which they really are!

At the end of the day, with eco bags overflowing with goodies, fliers, business cards, and whatnot; curiosities fed; expectations exceeded; event concluded; doors for opportunities opened; our greatest takeaway would be the emotional connection brought by Blogapalooza Horizons. Yes, the exposure, opportunities, connections gained are invaluable takings from the event. However, with Blogapalooza we found family, we felt family, which we believe, and likely, so do you, is one of the most important things in everyday and in the blogosphere likewise! It's one thing to blog and another thing knowing you're in this journey with someone. This is why we are so grateful for each of you, as we, yes, we have come to have our very own Posh family to come home to! Stay awesome and stay posted, fam <3

  1. It's good to have such event in PH! In Bangkok, it is so rare or maybe only a community of beauty bloggers not fashion.
