Life’s Not Over at 20

“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” (Michael Jordan)

Hey, Posh Squad! That quote up there, we think, is very significant to all of you who’ve been down the wrong paths, who’ve been so confused on what you want to do or what you want to be, and whether you are actually doing the right thing right now. We just want to say… It’s alright to make mistakes (We do too!) because it’s your way to be able to know where you’re actually good at. It’s never bad to try out different things! We will always learn from our mistakes and strive for success even further.

So here are little reminders for you to always stay positive, even when there are instances of you being affected with negativity.

1. Stop comparing yourself to others.

Today, it is so hard to avoid social media, where we see most of our friends traveling the world, studying abroad, finding a job they enjoy, or having passed med school, while we’re stuck at home watching Netflix and eating 10 bags of chips. But what you really see online is probably less than what really goes on offline.

2. Meet new friends while keeping your friends.

Of course, after college life, there comes the work life. You and your old friends will drift apart as life goes on, but you will find a way back eventually. You might think that it’s all professional at the office but at the end of the day, no one wants to live life just to work. They can be your close friends too! Go out with them, and get to know them. Always make time for your relationships.

3. Get out of your comfort zone.

If you have great big ideas, they are nothing without action. You have to fight for it! Opportunities present themselves in strange packages. Finding an opportunity is rare so now is the time to take risks, be bold, and be humble.

4. Take care of yourself physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Make time for things that matter like your health! You cannot do everything at an instant.

5. Find enjoyment wherever you can.

Look for one thing each day to be grateful for. Write it down. When you are feeling down, read through the encouraging thoughts you’ve written. Laugh at least once every day. And more importantly, love yourself!

Hope we served you a little love and positivity today!

Much love,

  1. If you change direction from the path you thought you'd take at 20 or later, it DOES NOT mean life is over or that you'll never be...
