How to Get a Gel Manicure under 30 Minutes

There are those days when we have formal occasions like weddings or a gala to attend, and of course, we want to look our best. Looking our best isn't all about picking out the perfect outfit or doing your makeup on point. Sometimes we go get our nails done so that we'd look more presentable, or sometimes we just want to get our ugly unpainted nails out of the picture. Most of us girls get a regular manicure but then after days, or even just hours, they would chip off. Now that gel polish has been on the radar lately, and many have been getting gel nails for a longer lasting manicure, we actually don't consider the fact that the the UV lamp included in the process can be dangerous.

So girls, listen. The world's leading gel polish brand, Gelish Soak-Off Gel Polish, just recently launched a new nail system in the country and it is guaranteed to be your new favorite salon service — Gelish Dip.

Founded by Danny Haile in 2009, Gelish is an international brand revolutionized the beauty industry by introducing gel polish that comes in a bottle and applies like regular polish. As the leading brand in its category worldwide, Gelish has built a reputation for developing formulas that not only applies easily but provides optimum shine and vibrancy for up to 21 days.

Gelish Dip is a revolutionary acrylic powder nail system that allows you to get gel-like nails without the need for a UV or LED lamp. It comes in 120 colors, including cremes, glitters, shimmers, metallics, and five French shades. The service is also a whole lot simpler compared to traditional gel manicure and takes only about 20-30 minutes to finish both hands. Gelish Dip promises 14 days of chip and peel-free nails.

So here's how the process looked like.

Before applying the Gelish Dip polish, our Ate's first cleaned and trimmed our nails.

The colors we picked out were No Way Rosé (for Daphne), Sea Foam and Glitter & Gold (for Candis).

The process was simple, as we have mentioned. Just apply the base coat, dip, and apply the top coat. They did this with 2-3 coats, depending on how vibrant you want the color to come out.

And here's how our nails looked like after the pamper sesh!

Let's take it to the test, and see how it looks like after 14 days.

Candis:

Day 7 - Right thumb gel polish detached
Day 10 - Left index finger gel polish detached

Daphne:

Day 14 - Everything still intact

After this observation, we think that the cremes are more prone to detach compared to the shimmers and glitters.

Gelish Dip is currently available at all Beauty & Butter Nail Lounge for only Php 450. Other nail salons are expected to start offering the service starting end of June.

Much love,
Candis & Daphne
