The time has finally come, and we, together with Althea, are so excited and glad to be able to finally share this with you! Are you ready? Here it is! Althea is coming out with their own brand of beauty products to add to your Althea experience. To start off the collection with a bang, the first product we're unveiling is the Petal Velvet Powder! It's a light weight loose powder gives a silky finish made with pure, natural ingredients.
Althea's beauty philosophy is self-explanatory: simple perfection. They have worked hard to pick out the best fundamental ingredients that work to give the skin a flawless look without the extra and unnecessary (expensive) frills. It's about time we went back to basics using products that you know would work for a perfected complexion, and lucky for you, the Petal Velvet Powder does just that!
Althea's Petal Velvet Powder is inspired by the Althea flower from Korea. From the scent to the look to the texture of the petals, it embodies that delicacy and goodness in the powder. This loose powder is a translucent one with a silky finish, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth to the touch, just like flower petals. Its formula is a hydrating one that keeps the skin feeling plump all day, while its micro particles work to blur pores, hide imperfections and control sebum.
The key ingredient of this powder is Althea seed oil extract that creates a hydrating and protecting barrier for the vitality of the skin. This helps to shield, brighten and keep the skin oil-free as you go about your day without drying it out. This setting powder is suitable for all skin types and it's made with a mild floral scent that soothes the senses too.
Using the puff provided or a powder brush if you prefer, pick up some product and gently sweep onto the skin. Use on top of base makeup to set it, or wear alone for a fresh, shine-free look. If you are unfamiliar with this type of product, it is very similar to the Innisfree No Sebum Powder. This product is a lifesaver since we go from one event to another from day to night. We need to keep our face oil-free and fresh! We did not need to retouch on our foundation because this alone can help. It hides your pores, although not completely. For us, we would use this during days when we don't need to put on a lot of makeup. This product is our new go-to since we would opt to use this powder during our daily activities. For more formal occasions, we would still go for a matte foundation.
